PostHeaderIcon inequalities problem!? can u plz tell me how u got ur answer?

u own a printing shop & order paper each week to meet ur customers’ printing needs. Company A charges .50 for a ream of 500 sheets of paper plus a delivery fee for each order. Company B charges only for a ream but charges a delivery fee for each other

1) let x represent the number of reams of paper u purchase. write an expression that represents the total cost of purchasing paper from Company A. write an expression that represents the total cost of purchasing paper from Company B

2) choose 2 different amounts of paper between 50 reams and 150 reams that u cud purchase. calculate the charges from each supplier.

3) write an inequality that represents orders for which company A offers the lower price. write an inequality that represents orders for which company B offers the lower price.

PostHeaderIcon How do I design a Foil Stamped or Emboss Business Card? & What Program do I use to do this?

Is there a special way that I have to design the business card before sending it to print to be a foil Stamped or Emboss Business Card? or Do I just normally design the business card and the printer can take it from there?

PostHeaderIcon Commercial Printing Problem !*!*!?

I have a design file that was created in Adobe Photoshop in CMYK at 300 dpi. I sent them the .PSD file to be printed in China and they can not print it from .PSD (why not?). They asked for a JPEG version in CMYK, I sent that to them and so they started to print the file,

The problem is, black looks like purple?!? They said it is my fault, how is that? The black is C 75%, M 68 %, Y 67%, K 90%. This is the blackest black on the color palette in Photoshop CS4. Yet, when they print it comes out purple.

Sometimes when "K" is low in ink "K" can sometimes come out purple (K in CMYK). This is the only thing I can think of.

From my understanding of design and commercial print, it is the color rip software that must be tweaked until they find the right print colors. Then they can save this color profile for the file for all future prints. I can take the same document to 4 different printers and each one would produce different results – THUS my conclusion that the variable is from the printers. Am I wrong?

As a designer, is there anything more I can do to make black look black in my CMYK photoshop design? Or is it entirely my fault?

DOCUMENT SETUP FROM DESIGN END
Size: 15"x30"
Res: 300 dpi
Bit Depth: 8
Color Mode: CMYK
Color Profile: US Web Coated (SWOP) v2

PostHeaderIcon How to turn a collage into a digital file for printing?

I’d like to turn a multimedia collage (watercolor, ink, photos and some text) into a digital file in order to create crisp, high-quality prints. Do I need to take it to a print shop for a high-resolution scan in order to create a digital file? I’m not very tech-savvy, so thanks in advance for tips.

PostHeaderIcon Source for note paper stock?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a top quality stock for printing note cards with my ink jet printer? Plain index stock curls up and doesn’t look right anyhow. Cover stock is not much better.

I’m not planning on selling anything, but I like to write notes and cards for various purposes featuring my own or my wife’s photography. I would like to be able to give sets as gifts, also. I have seen nice pre-cut notes, but I’d be happier with a full 8½" x 11" sheet of excellent quality note paper.

I’ve considered cutting out 4" x 5" prints and mounting them on note cards, but that’s too much work!

The more specific your recommendation, the better.

Thanks for your help.
Poetic Harvest, thanks for the answer. I’ll check these out. I _MIGHT_ miss my window to choose you as BEST, but if I do, don’t worry – I’ll come back and vote for you and that’ll get you the 10 points.

Thanks again.

PostHeaderIcon Recycled Business Card Printers?

I’m looking to print my logo and information on a business card, but I want it to be printed on recycled material and to be a thicker stock than a normal business card. Anyone know of any good places to print custom ones? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

PostHeaderIcon Adobe RGB or sRGB????HELP! I know you know the answer?

I am confused on the whole Adobe RGB and sRGB. I know that Adobe RGB is used for printing (like through a printing company) and can be set on the camera as well as in Photoshop. I also know that if you try to upload it to the web as Adobe RGB your images turn out pale. My question is which should I be using to edit shots that will be viewed on the web and may or may not be chosen for print?

Also, should I shoot in Adobe RGB or sRGB?

Thanks!!!!
Thanks! Well, I will be printing with a professional online printing for clients.
