Basically, I went to one of those makeover days and chose to order 8 prints afterwards. This cost £400, but was ok as I needed my modelling portfolio. They were to be put on a CD and mine and my friends complimentary prints should be added too.

We received the CD and only 5 photos were on it. my friends picture wasn’t there at all so i phoned customer services and they sent me a page of thumbnail photos to choose the ones they’d missed off.

They did not respond to 3 emails and it has been 7 weeks. After 2 weeks though, we did receive my friends print (albeit not on CD as requested) but they will not repsond to me and getting through to customer services is difficult. We had requested a touch of photoshopping during the order which was also not done.

They have taken the first payment out of my friends account and I want to cancel it until they respond, send the proper order or draw a line under it. I just don’t want them getting debt collectors involved, will they?
I don’t know what to do.

The company is called New ID and I am writing from the UK.
I am concerned as the direct debit is in my friends name and I don’t want her credit rating affected. I’m sure if we cancel the payments then they will start sending crappy letters or it will end up with us being in the wrong. Usually the case with my life!

When I print a photo (say 3×5" or 4×8") what resolution should the photo be in (for optimal image quality)?

i’ve looked into this , and i have friends who have had experience with modeling.. and i can ask them many questions. but is it to hard to do on our own. or would i get more business with an agent?
i’ve read LOTS of comments from people on different agencies that there scams? please give me info thanks!

Thank you for all your credible suggestions and info. I do work in the mental health field and maybe that is what is SOOOOOO frustrating about it. Without counseling or nagging him I do present options but I almost feel as though he has given up. Concerns me even though he says he is "safe" (re: suicidal ideations or thoughts). I do see sense guilt (not a good sign). He had even considered the thought of using our pre-marital counselor for his own individual counseling afterwards re: baggage and such. His ex-wife is a real &*$#@ and apparently told him some things that I guess are his "tapes" in his head replaying. He is a great guy but heck, I can’t deny my pleasures and goals and needs. I think his family is shocked and my friends seem a little in disbelief. Thanks again and maybe I can print the screening off and leave it with my workstuff in a place he will have to come across it and hopefully will contemplate taking the test. Thanks again. How do you print a photograph onto silk? I mean something like this:

Is there a way to do this by oneself, without involving a commercial printing company, and with vivid colors?

I recently got wedding digital wedding photo’s from my sister. An on-line photo service printed my pictures. However, they came out funny. I noticed two white stripes on the 4×6. I found out that photographers use a big format ratio. How can I easily crop the digital image down to right ratio used by 4×6 prints? I need an easy way that allows me to pick the region I want to use. I don’t want to cut off people’s heads.

TOPIC: HOW MANY TYPES OF ADVERTISING ARE THERE? PRESENT THE FEATURES AND EXAMPLES OF EACH TYPE. ANALYZE THE APPROPRIATENESS OF THEM.

Nowadays, almost companies can’t lack advertising to introduce their products or services to market. There are many types of advertising. Each type has different role and appropriateness. So, this essay will focus on three types in three paragraphs. Introducing about print advertising in the first paragraph; and then, introducing mass media advertising in the second paragraph; and finally, introducing outdoor advertising in the third paragraph.

Today, advertising products via print media is a common practice. The print media include all newspapers, newsletters, magazines, booklets, pamphlets, and other printed publications. The role of print advertising is to offers basic information about the company, their products or services to the selected audiences. Most print media are local. Magazines, on the other hand, have always been national, although there is a trend today toward localization and specialization. There are a huge amount newspapers and magazines are published everyday. But only some types tend to a particular group people. For examples, sporty newspapers are written for men, teenage magazines for teenagers, etc. Therefore, select the right type of newspapers or magazines is important decision of the company, which may reach larger selected audiences. According to a statistic, in Vietnam, at present, there are about 600 newspapers and magazines. Almost companies, which are operating in Vietnam, are advertising via print media; for examples, Vinamilk, FPT, Honda, etc.

Mass media advertising is popular most and impact in people’s awareness of the companies and their products. This type includes TV, radio and internet. Mass media advertising is more than simply persuasive messages. Through text and through images, the ad conveys values and beliefs, and these have meanings for those who read, listen or watch them. In this type, cost is the main obstacle for companies which want to advertise on TV. Moreover, just as print ad, mass media ad also has many channels tend to many different objects. Consequently, if the company advertises with reasonable duration and right channel, the company will not waste more money and their advertising still effective. Due to the great role of mass media in the life, nowadays, there are many companies use mass media for their main publicity. For instance, Unilever present their products as OMO and Comfort, P&G with Tide and Downy, etc.

Outdoor advertising, one of the oldest and most enduring forms of advertising, is advertising on signs that are located outdoors in public places. This form includes billboards, trade fairs, sporting evens, etc. Outdoor advertising captures the viewer’s attention 24 hours a day. True, it has limited coverage. But a well-planned outdoor campaign can effectively cover most major markets. The main features of this type are brevity of the message and cannot target customer. So, the message usually is slogan of the company, such as Canon Corporation with the slogan is “Delighting you always” or Toyota with sentence “Moving forward”, etc.

In short, using which types and using on which time is important decision of the company. In my opinion, with carefully choosing, the company can get what they need from all the variable advertisements

My friends say I should try posting my portreit pictures in some commercials. I don’t know what to start with and who show my pictures to. Any agencies?
