You know those do-it-yourself photo kiosks at major shopping centers? The ones where you stick in your own memory card and choose your options, and it spits out your photos for you?

My question is whether or not you think they’re worth it. They are much less expensive than going to an actual professional photo processing/printing company, but does the color last as long? Are they of lesser quality, or is it "good enough" to use these as a method for a beginning photographer to print clients’ photo packages?

My friend has chosen a publishing company to publish his book. They do the printing and shipping,contracts and do advise him. His book sells for .95 paper back and .00 hard cover.I do know that the book is a true story, and since I have read it, I know it’s not one of those books that is only interesting in a few chapters and has a big bang at the end. The book keeps you stuck to your seat and your attention from beginning to end .He has made an arrgrement to (example) wal-mart buys 50 books, if they don’t sell in 6 months the publishing company buys them back from the book store, so no one is loosing there money.His royalties are paid every four months. The book went out in stores in April to Canada and the US.

I was thinking of buying one of those personalized books…you know, the ones where you choose the names of the characters and settings and appearances, and the company prints the book for you.

Has anyone got one of these before? Are they any good? Can you change the genders of the characters? Do you know any good UK websites to get them from?

I’m interested in romance/horror books.

i was told by a screen printer i was trying to work with that the design i chose was high end and was out of his capabilities as far as equipment goes, he recommended looking overseas, like china, for companies who can go all over the tee… he could only print up to 17" by 20" and my designs went from seam to seam.. also my main design is gold, which is touch for screen printing, and i need to find a company that can do those high end shirts like you would find from sean jean or baby phat or ecko… please if anyone has ANY tips id be grateful…

Basically, I went to one of those makeover days and chose to order 8 prints afterwards. This cost £400, but was ok as I needed my modelling portfolio. They were to be put on a CD and mine and my friends complimentary prints should be added too.

We received the CD and only 5 photos were on it. my friends picture wasn’t there at all so i phoned customer services and they sent me a page of thumbnail photos to choose the ones they’d missed off.

They did not respond to 3 emails and it has been 7 weeks. After 2 weeks though, we did receive my friends print (albeit not on CD as requested) but they will not repsond to me and getting through to customer services is difficult. We had requested a touch of photoshopping during the order which was also not done.

They have taken the first payment out of my friends account and I want to cancel it until they respond, send the proper order or draw a line under it. I just don’t want them getting debt collectors involved, will they?
I don’t know what to do.

The company is called New ID and I am writing from the UK.
I am concerned as the direct debit is in my friends name and I don’t want her credit rating affected. I’m sure if we cancel the payments then they will start sending crappy letters or it will end up with us being in the wrong. Usually the case with my life!

TOPIC: HOW MANY TYPES OF ADVERTISING ARE THERE? PRESENT THE FEATURES AND EXAMPLES OF EACH TYPE. ANALYZE THE APPROPRIATENESS OF THEM.

Nowadays, almost companies can’t lack advertising to introduce their products or services to market. There are many types of advertising. Each type has different role and appropriateness. So, this essay will focus on three types in three paragraphs. Introducing about print advertising in the first paragraph; and then, introducing mass media advertising in the second paragraph; and finally, introducing outdoor advertising in the third paragraph.

Today, advertising products via print media is a common practice. The print media include all newspapers, newsletters, magazines, booklets, pamphlets, and other printed publications. The role of print advertising is to offers basic information about the company, their products or services to the selected audiences. Most print media are local. Magazines, on the other hand, have always been national, although there is a trend today toward localization and specialization. There are a huge amount newspapers and magazines are published everyday. But only some types tend to a particular group people. For examples, sporty newspapers are written for men, teenage magazines for teenagers, etc. Therefore, select the right type of newspapers or magazines is important decision of the company, which may reach larger selected audiences. According to a statistic, in Vietnam, at present, there are about 600 newspapers and magazines. Almost companies, which are operating in Vietnam, are advertising via print media; for examples, Vinamilk, FPT, Honda, etc.

Mass media advertising is popular most and impact in people’s awareness of the companies and their products. This type includes TV, radio and internet. Mass media advertising is more than simply persuasive messages. Through text and through images, the ad conveys values and beliefs, and these have meanings for those who read, listen or watch them. In this type, cost is the main obstacle for companies which want to advertise on TV. Moreover, just as print ad, mass media ad also has many channels tend to many different objects. Consequently, if the company advertises with reasonable duration and right channel, the company will not waste more money and their advertising still effective. Due to the great role of mass media in the life, nowadays, there are many companies use mass media for their main publicity. For instance, Unilever present their products as OMO and Comfort, P&G with Tide and Downy, etc.

Outdoor advertising, one of the oldest and most enduring forms of advertising, is advertising on signs that are located outdoors in public places. This form includes billboards, trade fairs, sporting evens, etc. Outdoor advertising captures the viewer’s attention 24 hours a day. True, it has limited coverage. But a well-planned outdoor campaign can effectively cover most major markets. The main features of this type are brevity of the message and cannot target customer. So, the message usually is slogan of the company, such as Canon Corporation with the slogan is “Delighting you always” or Toyota with sentence “Moving forward”, etc.

In short, using which types and using on which time is important decision of the company. In my opinion, with carefully choosing, the company can get what they need from all the variable advertisements

I am in the start-up phase of a photography company. i would like to know if anyone knows how to have my company logo printed on my photos? Could I do that myself, or what kind of company do i need to cantact? serious answers please.

if you dont know, dont guess. i will choose the best answer!

I want to order 60 custom made laptops for my company with the company logo and my chosen internal components. Is there a website that will do this for me and print the logo on the cover of the laptop? Where can I go to get this done? Can I order them in bulk? Cost is not an issue, The company is willing to fund the entire progect.
