PostHeaderIcon can you print business cards in a normal printer?

I’m confused on how to print business cards. Do you need a special printer or can you just print them in a normal printer at home?

Office supply stores sell a type of paper that is made for printing business cards. It’s usually a little bit thicker and has perforated edges so you can punch out your business cards once you’ve printed them. Software applications such as Microsoft Office Word and OpenOffice Writer have templates built in that allow you to enter in your paper size/type, and will generate a layout in your document so you may design your cards. Once finished designing, you can just print with the paper you purchased at the office supply store, and you’ll have some nice, fancy business cards.

    Yes, you can.
You buy sheets of "clean perf" business cards, something like 12 or 18 per regular sheet size. You then print the sheet, and tear off the cards…

You don’t need a special printer to print your business card at home! :)
Just your regular printer at home will do.
You might want to think about getting some special paper for it though to make it look more professionally made.
Also, depending on what type of printer you’re using, quality will vary.

Yes you can by Avery pre-perforated business card stock.

Business cards may include one or more aspects of striking visual design, but should also contain important contact information. Use this guide to make the most of your business cards: http://www.small-business-software.net/biz-cards.htm
