How to become a face for a printed commercial?
My friends say I should try posting my portreit pictures in some commercials. I don’t know what to start with and who show my pictures to. Any agencies?

There are a few options.
First, try stock photography. There has been consolidation in the industry, so it’s not as easy as it used to be, but it’s gotten a little better with the Internet, allowing photographers to sell directly to stock photo websites like iStockphoto.com
Second, an agency can help you, but they’re unlikely to sign you unless you either pay them a lot or have an established reputation and portfolio.
Third, websites designed for pro photographers can do much of what an agency would do, and charge anywhere from $10 to $100 a month. Go to photography forums at fredmiranda.com for which ones are the best.
Fourth, try working for a full-time professional photographer as an assistant. Put together a portfolio, and even with this, you might have to even volunteer your first few times until you’re established. Then work your way up.
